Terms & Conditions

1. Referral and Consent
1.1. By completing a referral and booking an appointment, you authorize Animal Rehab Partners to discuss your animal’s treatment and concerns with your veterinary practice.
1.2. You also give consent for your veterinary practice to share your pet’s clinical records and diagnostic images with Animal Rehab Partners.

2. Treatment Refusal
2.1. The therapist may refuse treatment to any animal that is unfit for treatment on the day (e.g., vomiting, diarrhea, open wounds, new injury or lameness, undiagnosed pathologies, or active infections). In such cases, the animal must be seen by a veterinarian before treatment resumes.
2.2. Any new pathologies or lameness require a veterinarian’s approval before further treatment, in accordance with the Veterinary Surgeons Exemptions Order (2015).

3. Aggressive Animals
3.1. Animals deemed aggressive must have a competent handler present, appropriate protective equipment (e.g., muzzle, safety shoes, gloves), and a quiet area for treatment. Treatment may be refused if deemed unsafe.

4. Cancellation Policy
4.1. Appointments can be requested by emailing hello@animalrehabpartners.com, and Animal Rehab Partners will propose a suitable time and date. If the selected time is not suitable, the client will be contacted to reschedule.
4.2. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment will incur a £30 charge. For multiple bookings (e.g., dog and owner), 50% of the total consultation fee will be charged.
4.3. If an initial consultation is cancelled last minute, upfront payment may be required for a rescheduled appointment, which will be non-refundable if cancelled again.
4.4. Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in termination of future services.

5. Late Payment Policy
5.1. Payment is due on the day of the appointment. If payment is not received within 7 days of the appointment, a 10% late fee will be added and will continue to accrue every 7 days until the balance is paid in full.
5.2. For late payments, all future appointments will require upfront payment. Failure to make timely payments may result in termination of services and possible legal action.

6. Day Rate Terms
6.1. The physiotherapist will provide professional services during the agreed hours.
6.2. The client (yard/kennel owner or manager) is responsible for ensuring a safe and suitable environment for treatment.
6.3. The full day rate is due, regardless of the number of animals treated, provided the physiotherapist is available during the agreed working hours.
6.4. For a day rate payment must be made within 7 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Client Responsibilities
7.1. Animals must be ready for their appointment, safely restrained (e.g., haltered, leashed), clean, dry, and not displaying any behaviour that could pose a risk to the therapist.
7.2. A completed referral and/or consent form must be provided for each animal before treatment begins. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure these forms are accurate and submitted in advance or on the day of treatment.
7.3. Animals should be scheduled according to the agreed timetable. If an animal is not ready, the session time may be forfeited, and fees will still apply.

8. Animal Physiotherapist Responsibilities
8.1. The physiotherapist will provide professional, ethical, and effective physiotherapy services to all animals.
8.2. The physiotherapist reserves the right to refuse treatment if the animal presents a safety risk.

9. Liability
9.1. The physiotherapist will not be liable for any injuries or incidents caused by the behaviour of animals under the client’s care.
9.2. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure appropriate insurance is in place for the animals and premises.

10. Health and Safety
10.1. The client must provide a safe, clean environment for treatment, including a suitable space, access to water, and first-aid supplies if needed.
10.2. Any known behavioural or medical issues must be disclosed in advance.

11. Termination
11.1. The physiotherapist reserves the right to terminate the agreement if the client fails to meet these terms, with fees still applicable for time spent on-site.
